Homeowner OrientationYour Homeowner Orientation is more than just a construction "walk through." At this time the Superintendent and Customer Service Manager will review various components of your home, as well as note any items that may require attention. The orientation is scheduled through the Project Superintendent and will take, on average, 2 hours. Your Superintendent will review the below listed items with you. Inspect these items carefully since some of them are not covered under the McKim Homes One Year or 2-10 Home Buyer Warranty Programs.
The Homebuyer Orientation Form is used to note items that require attention and McKim Homes will make every effort to correct these items prior to the Close of Escrow or Move In Date. Before you move checklistClick here for a checklist of things you should do prior to moving into your new McKim Home Utility service transferAt the close of escrow of your home you will need to contact the proper utility company servicing your neighborhood. Note that all utilities (sewer, water, gas, electricity, etc.) used during the time of construction of your home are discontinued at the Close of Escrow. Below is a list of utility companies servicing the McKim Home Communities. Choose the correct company and contact them at the close of escrow to have these services transferred to your name or to set up services.
